Welcome to Canmore Social Justice Centre

Many of you are surfing on this site because you have attended the Canmore Film Festival 2008 at Canmore Collegiate High School Theatre the weekend of Nov 28 & 29. As the festival committee we are very excited about the attendance and interest in this event. This has encouraged us to continue developing the vision for a continued presence of social justice events throughout the year in Canmore.


So as we look ahead the first plans that we have initiated is for monthly screenings of social justice films in Canmore on every second Thursday evening of the month. Beginning on Thursday Feb 12 at 7 pm we will be showing Darwin's Nightmare at the Canmore Community Co-op on Bow Valley Trail, next to Services Canada and Mac's. A typical format for the monthly screening will be the showing of the film and facilitated dialog will follow.
